I intentionally went for the sun flare by setting the shot up more toward the lowering sun then shifting toward the valley and shooting. I wanted to add some color to the otherwise drab winter landscape.

Sun flare is nice (best to enlarge to see it better). Like the ribbon of blue river.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an interesting place, like the winding water.
ReplyDeleteLove the curve in the river and I love those sun rays bursting forth.....nice capture!
ReplyDeleteI love the way that the sun flares lead you down to the water, magic.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful sky! I like how the curve of the river draws your eye further into the photo. It looks chilly, but then you have the rays peeking out, too.
ReplyDeleteThis is a striking photo; the framing really sets it off well, making it unique.
ReplyDeleteWhat they said!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors with your sunflare, I would include it, too, since it has been rare around here lately. Pretty photo!
ReplyDeleteHey, Lorri, this is beautiful! What settings did you use on your camera to capture the flare so well?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great view! I love the winding river down below.
