Still playing with new lens; trying to consistently determine the parts of the image that are sharp and the parts that are blurred. Hand held; I know I'll need to use a tripod to get something printable.

Lots of practice you won't need a tri pod....I have print tons that are handheld and you can't tell (unless in low light situations)... This bloom is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you don't need a tripod Lorri, this one's great. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the blooms in this image, on your parts II post the dark area on the bottom is distracting.
ReplyDeleteI too am trying out new lenses. It is amazing how much you get used to what you have but saying that it is so much fun learning the limits of the new one. You have still captured a lot of detail in this shot. Such a lovely flower.
ReplyDeleteGreat flowers. I don't generally use a tripod. I only use it for low-light or if I want to blur something with a slow shutter. I just can't get the angles I want with a tripod.
ReplyDeleteI like your blossoms - the pink contrasts so nicely with the blue background. The best way to learn a new lens is to do just what you're doing - experiment. Actually, my approach is to leave it on the camera for a month until I really understand it. I'm like Clara, I avoid the tripod when possible. I find it very confining.

I think this is printable - I like the focus on it much better than no. II . . . but you should definitely order this in an 8 by 10 . . . you'll see that it prints excellently!
ReplyDeleteUnlike others, I can't get enough of pretty flower shots.
ReplyDeleteNice job. Enjoy the new lens.
