POVERTY

What struck me first were the "Keep Right" sign and "One Way" sign pointing up the hill with the man asking for help just below them.  What strikes me now is the contrast of the lush green corner garden across the roads with the near lack of color in the midst of the roads where the man is standing.  You can see the water line around the garden across the roads where the grass turns from manicured green to a thirsty dull shade. Life in the city.  Monotone poverty on one block then you turn a corner to well kept gardens and green green grass.

  1. What a wonderful composition of this sad situation! You captured the very essence of poverty...I too love the contrast of the "poverty" monotones against the lush colors! NICE!

  4. I am very guilty of turning my head to these people, but Jesus said, "Whatever you do unto the least of these you do unto me."

I am trying to decided if he has a gaping sore on his neck.

  6. Hi Lorri,
It's amazing that our city's and our country doesn't have a way of helping people. We seem to help everyone else but not our own. Have a great day!
